What is the difference between The Things Indoor Gateway Pro and the Milesight UG63V2?

While The Things Indoor Gateway Pro may resemble the Milesight UG63V2 in hardware design, the key difference lies in the firmware. The Things Indoor Gateway Pro is powered by our proprietary firmware, ensuring 100% integration with The Things Stack. This means you benefit from seamless connectivity, enhanced device management features, and comprehensive cloud management capabilities that are uniquely tailored to optimise and simplify your LoRaWAN network installation and operation.

Can the Things Indoor Gateway Pro be used with different versions of The Things Stack or other LoRaWAN network servers?

The Things Indoor Gateway Pro works exclusively with all versions of The Things Stack—Cloud, Enterprise, Sandbox, and Open Source—and is not compatible with other LoRaWAN network servers. It also supports enterprise deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) with a few extra setup steps; contact support@thethingsindustries.com for help. Other LoRaWAN gateways can still be added to The Things Stack platforms, offering flexibility across a wide range of devices.

Can I use my own SIM cards with these gateways?

In bulk quantities (100+ units), yes you can use your own SIM cards with these gateways. Contact our sales team for pricing and more details on the plans.

What is the lead time for bulk orders?

Quantities below 100 units can be shipped in 3-4 business days. For higher volume, lead time is 3-4 weeks. Contact our team for bulk orders.

Which mobile networks do you support with SIM?

We use a MVNO through which provide the cellular backhaul. All major nationwide networks are supported in Europe, North America. We are expanding this soon to Asia Pacific and Latin America.

For which regions is the gateway available?

Currently, there are 3 SKU’s of the gateway available - North America, Europe and UK. AU (Australia and New Zealand) and Asia Pacific versions are coming out in 2026.
