Expanding Smart Utility IoT in India with CitiLight at ISUW 2026

The Things Industries will co-exhibit with CITiLIGHT at India Smart Utility Week (ISUW) 2026, taking place March 10–14 in New Delhi, marking a collaboration in hopes to expand large-scale smart utility deployments across India and globally.

By combining CITiLIGHT’s regional expertise with the proven scalability of The Things Stack, the partnership builds on The Things Industries’ experience supporting utility deployments in Europe and North America and signals a focused expansion into the Indian utility market.

At ISUW 2026, The Things Industries will bring a curated version of the LoRaWAN Wall of Fame to ISUW, showcasing a curated selection of utility-grade devices integrated with The Things Stack. Visitors will be able to see a range of certified solutions suitable for smart metering and infrastructure monitoring, including advanced water metering technologies illustrating how low power IoT enables scalable and cost-efficient data collection.

Three of CITiLIGHT’s smart lighting controllers will be showcased on the Wall of Fame at ISUW. The CITiLIGHT NEMA ILC, built on ANSI C136 standards, enables seamless LoRaWAN connectivity and intelligent lighting control across smart networks. The CITiLIGHT Zhaga ILC introduces AI-enabled edge control with adaptive lighting and secure over-the-air updates for scalable city deployments. The CITiLIGHT Integrated ILC embeds diagnostics and adaptive dimming directly within the fixture, supporting compact, city-wide smart lighting rollouts without reliance on external nodes.

“Utilities require infrastructure that is open, secure and built for long-term operation,” said Wienke Giezeman, CEO of The Things Industries.Partnering with CitiLight at ISUW 2026 reflects a shared interest to delivering production-grade IoT systems for utilities in India, leveraging the same operational discipline we apply globally.”

Aman Chawla, CEO of CITiLIGHT added, "Our partnership with The Things Industries strengthens CITiLIGHT’s ability to deliver reliable, standards-based IoT infrastructure for smart city deployments. By working closely with system integrators and lighting companies in India and overseas, we are enabling scalable, future-ready solutions for cities globally.”
